  1. That’s awesome. Argentina has some people on the street too. We need a Global Change, if not for ours, it must be for our children.

    I would like to know what’s next? we need to make it even more massive.

  2. Never forget the European invasion of central and south America after Columbus especially the Potosi, Bolivia silver mine. With a bible in one hand and a gun in the other indigenous people were beat, raped and killed – millions. Europe’s wealth was increased a total 4% from the silver alone.

    Never forget Clara Lemlich who led the 20,000 in 1909 against garment industry owners who were raking in MILLIONS a year with unsafe conditions and unfair work ethics. Most women made $2.00 a day minus needles, thread and mistakes.

    Never forget the the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire in New York City on March 25, 1911. It was the deadliest industrial disaster in the history of the city of New York and resulted in the fourth highest loss of life from an industrial accident in U.S. history.The fire caused the deaths of 146 garment workers, who died from the fire, smoke inhalation, or jumped to their deaths. Most of the victims were recent Jewish and Italian immigrant women aged sixteen to twenty-three. The oldest victim was 48, the youngest were two fourteen-year-old girls. The millionare owners, Max Blanck and Isaac Harris fled to safety without warning the workers!

    Never forget the stock market crash of 1929. The psychotic greed of corporations led to 14 million unemployed, 1,000 foreclosures a day. 32,000 businesses went bankrupt and at least 5,000 banks failed. Most historians say the crash that led to the depression was a CALCUALTED move by corporations with government co-
    operation, Many academics see the Crash of 1929 as part of a historical process that was a part of the new theories of boom and bust.The impact of the crash was merely to increase the speed at which the cycle proceeded to its next level.

  6. hello,
    this is about the arrests yesterday in New York at the Citibank office (http://www.observer.com/2011/10/occupy-wall-street-run-on-citibank-ends-in-arrests/). I am spanish (currently in Barcelona): two of the mates arrested are friends and we had known nothing since yesterday afternoon. Does anybody have some more information about this arrest? Do you know if they are being supported by the legal working group in NY? Thank you!

    Παρατήρησα επίσης ότι οι σχολιαστές με τα μαύρα ονόματα, με τον ένα ή τον άλλο τρόπο, εκφέρουν κάποια γνώμη γιά την παγκόσμια κατάσταση και δεν αρκούνται στο να σας δώσουν συγχαρητήρια, ή να κάνουν κάποιο ανώδυνο ή ουδέτερο σχόλιο.
    Μήπως κατά τύχη, κύριοι υποψήφιοι “σωτήρες” της ανθρωπότητας, έχετε κάποια εξήγηση γιά αυτό το γεγονός;
    Σας ρωτάω, ζητώντας την δική σας εξήγηση, γιατί αν σας καταθέσω τη δική μου, είμαι σίγουρος ότι δεν θα σας αρέσει καθόλου.

  20. The establishment is hoping you give up. Major News Agnecies are posting articles from private contributors condemning and ridiculing the occupy movement. One may think because these articles are found on yahoo news under a major network banner ( i.e. ABC ) that the article is credible.

    I found 2 documentaries worth watching;

    Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) was a student activist movement in the United States in the mid-1960s before dissolving at its last convention in 1969. They were taken over by the Weather Underground.

    The movement went from non-violence to violence. Learn what NOT to do and WHAT TO DO fromm this documentary:

    1. The Weather Underground.

    Keep it peaceful, violence isn’t the answer.

    2. The Camden 28.

    Surprisingly, included among the Camden 28 were four Catholic priests and one Lutheran minister. All but one of the remaining 23 were Catholic laypeople.

    You can cget cideas from these documentaries and be REMINDED that,

    a. it isn’t easy.

    b. it takes a while.

    c. at some point have a mission statement.

    d. NO violence.

    e. get ALL the support you can from various peoples, organizations and if possible religions.

  21. Another documentary for NON -Violent ideas and TO LEARN from plus get NEW ideas:

    Berkeley in the Sixties ( Director – Mark Mitchell )

  22. The Vietnam protests emphasized young men being taken hostage ( the draft ) and sent to die thousands of miles away.

    I am not an Occupy Wall Street spokesperson however I do agree to this,
    Occupy Wall Street has a message as well;

    ” OUR future, the future of American men, women and children has been hijacked – taken hostage by big corporations, by banks and by wall street. They want WE the people to die as a result of genetically modified food and organisms. They want WE the people to die because of excessive unemployment which leads to homelessness and starvation. They want WE to die due to lack of energy for heat and air conditioning. They want WE the people to die because there will be no way for US to support ourselves, no way to resist because of Marshall Law and failure of the justice system. They want us to die with no way to defend ourselves as we will have little or no money due to economic/financial collapse, We will be excluded from declaring our rights, those civil rights that this country was founded upon and under such defense of those rights which many have been imprisoned for and assassinated since the inceptiuon of this Republic. WE the people are the backbone of this democracy having labored for a minimum wage while CEO’s and their cohorts extort BILLIONS of hard earned dollars into their pockets and coffers and claim ” we ( the rich ) will not share our wealth.”

    But WE the people say this to you the rich, ” it is OUR wealth that you have stolen and we didn’t agree to SHARE it with you!” papajohn

  23. Congressional Budget Office Report out today;

    The average after-tax income of the top one percent of the population nearly tripled, rising from $314,000 to nearly $868,000 — for a total increase of $554,000, or 176 percent. (Figures throughout this paper were adjusted by CBO for inflation and are presented in 2004 dollars.)

    By contrast, the average after-tax income of the middle fifth of the population rose a relatively modest 21 percent, or $8,500, reaching $48,400 in 2004.

    The average after-tax income of the poorest fifth of the population rose just 6 percent, or $800, over the past 25 years, reaching $14,700 in 2004.

    The middle class has been hollowed out, the poor are even poorer and the rich keep getting richer.

  24. Glenn Greenwald’s new book,

    “With Liberty and Justice for Some: How the Law is Used to Destroy Equality and Protect the Powerful,”

    offers a scathing critique of what he calls the two-tiered system of justice that ensures the political and financial class is virtually immune from prosecution in the United States. Greenwald explores how the media, both political parties, and the courts have abetted a process that has produced torture, war crimes, domestic spying, financial fraud and even the assassination of U.S citizens.

  25. The imbalanced wealth increase between the RICH and the poor and middle classes IS NOT due to the rich working harder.

    I thought yesterday’s – YouTube Oct. 26 2011 Morning Joe and Rachel Maddow programs ( MSNBC) persented fair and balanced arguements about the path of the country ” wealthwise” using the governments own statistics and graphs.

    Facts aren’t republican or democratic. Facts aren’t the left or the right. Facts are facts!

    Don’t think that because a wall street executive was arrested yesterday WE’RE getting things done. His crime was insider trading.

    Because policies in Washington allow the rich to get richer WE the PEOPLE need to focus on the upcoming elections as well.

    1. No or less regulation has led to greed, stealing and manipulating of the bank systems and wall street operations.

    2. When facts show Alan Greenspan co-erced the government into allowing crime on wall street, who was arrested? No one!

    3. When the housing bubble burst and FACTS showed WHITE COLLAR crimes were committed by banks – who was arrested? No one!

    4. When facts show politicians get millions and billions of dollars from bank and wall street lobbyists, who is allowing these practices to continue?

    5. AND who pays the bill for all this? WE the PEOPLE! We pay an emotional bill, a mental bill, a spiritual bill, a physical bill and a financial bill.

  27. This website was setup by the Lucis Trust.

    Fabians anyone?

    Controlled opposition.

  28. The National Bio-defense Safety Board said today;

    ” it APPROVES ANTHRAX Vaccine for children as safe. ”

    Dr. Dan Fagbuyi of the Children’s National Medical Center ( who by the way ALSO served on the BIO-DEFENSE SAFETY BOARD) says,

    ” we were asked that question, is the vaccine safe for kids? ”

    ” It is safe” he said, ” all we need to do is determine the dose we give. Do we do it now or later when it may be too late. What will families say if we don’t protect their children in the event of a bio terror attack.”

    This is an outrage!

    DO THEY THINK WE the PEOPLE FORGOT the controversy that followed sickness and death of our troops who were given this same vaccine? ( someone needs to get the data from those troop studies)

    PROTEST THIS AS WELL- no anthrax vaccine for kids!

  29. A civilian media blog covering the occupy wall street movement with a collection of images from different photographers slowly growing with national and international contacts.
    If anyone has interesting pictures and wants me to add them

  30. Y cuando en Sudáfrica? Necesitamos una mayor presencia de este movimiento en este país, Sudáfrica es uno de los países más corruptos del MUNDO.

    When in South Africa? we need a stronger present and encouregement to join the movement, people are not aware, South Africa is one of the most corrupt countries in the WORLD

  31. Sarah Palin said ” the occupy movement is looking for a bailout from other people’s money ” SHAME on you Sarah.

    Before WE THE PEOPLE go any further, let’s understand one very important issue about OCCUPY.

    There are many out there who still think WE THE PEOPLE don’t know a lie from the truth. Black Hawk said it best in the early 1800’s;

    ” How smooth must be the language of the whites, when they can make right look like wrong, and wrong like right. ”

    WE THE PEOPLE see through the art of doublespeak because before WE THE PEOPLE occupied anything, physical that is, we did something exceptionally extra extraordinary;

    WE ” took action to ” OCCUPY OUR MINDS!

    That’s right, to begin this epic journey one must first have the constitution ( no pun intended ) to THWART the doublespeak and the subliminal messaging plus the NON-TRUTH of the politicians and the big banks and corporations.

    No longer will these entities occupy the space between OUR ears! Our thought processes are OURS and our decision making abilities are OURS and WE THE PEOPLE are capable of being rational!

    So I say in closing, ” It’s YOUR mind, OCCUPY IT!
